The character I choose to make was the male version of the main character. This was done through making a character and a environment. I used this as a opportunity to make a 3D representation of the project. While the project itself is 2D 3D also had to be done. Various other features can be added to the project through plugins.ģD work was also done alongside the gdd and lab report. This engine was chosen for the project as this engine is primarily used for RPGs and since this idea had that genre in mind this engine was the best choice. In some parts however more detail could’ve been given, such as concept art for the various monsters within the game and more detail into the differing types of weapons.Īlongside this gdd a lab report was being written, detailing the techniques and the engine that will be used to make the project, the engine in this case being RPG Maker MV. The gdd allowed me to show what I wanted my game to be, which I feel I was able to do. The idea behind the game was bringing retro RPGs, such as Final Fantasy 1 – 6, back into the limelight with unique features playing a part in making this project different, one feature being randomly generated maps for the player to explore. This project began with creating the gdd (game design document) for the project itself, which detailed the story, features, gameplay and characters of the game. In this entry I will be looking back at the production that has been done for my game project. This will be the final entry on my developer diary.
